Ted and I have this beautiful magnum of Oregon Pinot Noir we've been dying to share with you Bistro kids. We've brought it up to a few of you, and the idea of a locavore dinner surfaced. . .
So, what do you say? Want to pull together some ideas for a dinner that would honor local flavors? We could expand the definition to the Northwest.
I propose Saturday, November 14th.
Let's get together! I miss our group!

This idea makes me hungry. My schedule is open; Brock may be open, too, but he may be hunting.
HI guys! this sounds wonderful. there's a chance my mom will be visiting that w/e, but we might be able to make it still. we are MORE open on the 21st of Nov if that works too, it could be like foodies local thanksgiving...xo gita
Ted and I will be on our way to the Oregon Coast for Thanksgiving on the 21st. Alas. . . G: your mom is welcome to join us!
We can talk other dates, but I was feeling anxious to make a date before Christmas.
Can we start talking about food? I'm hungry.
hi guys, the 14th is good! mom's coming earlier!! sometimes i LOVE using all caps and exclamation marks!!!
OK, food. we have cow from Highwood (a quarter of her, actually),i could make a stellar local roast.
how about wines from the NW rather than only missoula? should we all make a course and drink and try to have it be 80-100% local?
Yes! Northwest wines please. I'm infinitely more interested in Washington and Oregon wines than Montana wines. Call me snobby. I don't care.
I would love to make this sucker as local as possible. I dig the highwood cow idea.
I can say with certainty that Ted and I will bring a kick ass bottle of oregon pinot and a scrumptious dessert.
I'll daydream about other ideas and post them as I can.
Delicioso!!!! Eric and I can make it! I am thinking of roasting up a side of butternut squash, apples from the trees I grew up with, papa's red onions and drizzling a butter/sherry sauce. Ooh yes, and NW wine as long as it's NOT from Montana. ;) Drooling.
